Yash joins the shoot of 'Toxic' in Mumbai
After the huge success of the ‘KGF’ franchise, Kannada rock star Yash is looking to take things to the next level with his new film ‘Toxic’. The film is being made as an action spectacle. Malayalam director Geethu Mohandas started the latest schedule in Mumbai on July 21. Along with Yash, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Akshay Oberoi are playing the lead roles in this schedule.
The three-week-long schedule is entirely focused on action sequences. According to a source, the schedule began last Monday at Film City in Goregaon. It is a mostly indoor shoot, in which the actors are doing stunts without body doubles. There will be a lot of hand-to-hand combat scenes. Given the demands of the story, the actors underwent intense training before coming to the sets.
A team of 15 experts has been prepared for safety and execution. They are helping the actors in close-cut scenes. The action in Toxic is raw, brutal, and grounded. In the hand-to-hand combat sequences, action directors JJ Perry and Giorgi Ierajuli have mixed Krav Maga, Filipino Kali, and MMA techniques to create gritty style action. It remains to be seen in what range this film will make a name for Yash.
