'War 2' will give fans a next-level feast: Ayan Mukerji

‘War 2’ is all set to set a new benchmark for action movies, featuring a thrilling showdown between Indian crazy stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films, the high-voltage action thriller is all set to hit the theatres on August 14.

Talking about the biggest challenges faced while writing the story of the film, Ayan Mukerji said, “Crafting a story that pits two iconic stars like Hrithik and Jr NTR against each other was a tough task. We didn’t see ‘War 2’ as just a sequel. We saw it as a chance to boldly take the franchise to new heights, in addition to the lackluster first ‘War’.”

"Continuing a franchise with such a huge fan base is a huge responsibility. We did not plan to go with a formula that would repeat the success of the first film. We have designed everything from action sequences to emotional drama to take it to the next level. Our target is not only to thrill the fans, but also to exceed the expectations of the fans of these two superstars," said Ayan.

Describing "War 2" as a grand celebration of Indian cinema, Ayan promised that the film will give an unforgettable experience in theaters. "When you bring two dynamic stars like Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR on the same screen, the expectations are skyrocketing. We have poured our heart and soul into this film and worked day and night to give the audience a mind-blowing ride," he said.
