Vijay good bye to movies with 'Jananayakan'!

Tamil actor Vijay has officially announced that he will completely focus on politics after the shooting of his latest film "Jananayakan". Vijay himself revealed this at his party meeting in Chennai.

With this announcement, speculations about whether Vijay will act in future films have ended. Last year, Vijay announced his political party 'Tamilaga Vetri Kalagam'. He announced that he will contest in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

"This is my 69th film and also my last film. Henceforth I will fully dedicate myself to public service," Vijay clarified. He decided that he will not do another film. Vijay's aim is to be elected as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in 2026. He said that if that is not possible, he will work for the 2031 elections.
