This director has the same hero for his 100th film!

L2: Empuraan, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, is set to release on March 27, 2025. Even before the film hits theaters, accomplished actor Mohanlal has revealed something interesting about his next project.Renowned director Priyadarshan has confirmed that he will be making his 100th film, starring Mohanlal as the hero.

In a media interaction, Mohanlal said, "I played the lead role in Priyadarshan's first directorial film. Now, after he has completed two more films, his 100th film is coming up. We will be working together again for that film.""The first film and the 100th film are the same director and the same actor," he said.

Priyadarshan began his directorial journey in 1984 with the Malayalam comedy film "Poochakkoru Mookkuthi" ('Gopala Rao Gari Ammayi' in Telugu). Along with Mohanlal, the film also featured Shankar, Menaka, M. G. Soman, Nedumudi Venu, C. I. Paul, Sukumari, Jagathi Sreekumar and others in key roles.This film is notable for being the beginning of screwball comedies in the Malayalam film industry.
