Surya's birthday treat!

Surya and Trisha are playing the lead roles in the film ‘Karuppu’. The teaser of this film was released today (July 23) on the occasion of Surya’s birthday. The rural action elements are clearly visible in this teaser, which sets the mass mood with dialogues like ‘My name is Surya.. I have another name’.

It seems that Surya has played a dual role in this movie. The film is directed by RJ Balaji. Kollywood young talent Sai Abhyankar is composing the music. ‘Karuppu’ means black. There are objections to giving this Tamil title to the Telugu version as well. Comments from Telugu audiences on the title are that giving meaningless names will not have an impact on the audience and will reduce interest.
