Surya has completed the dubbing work!

Kollywood star Suriya and Karthik Subbaraj's film 'Retro' is set to release on May 1, 2025. Suriya has recently completed the dubbing work for this romantic action entertainer. In a short video shared on social media, Suriya said from the dubbing studio, "Retro dubbing is cut and right." Along with this video, Suriya-Karthik Subbaraj shared the trending Studio Ghibli AI edit with fans.

‘Retro’, starring Suriya in the lead role, is set in the 1990s and is a story of love, fun and struggle in a gangster world. The film stars Pooja Hegde, Joju George, Jayaram, Karunakaran, Nasser, Prakash Raj and Sujith Shankar in pivotal roles, while Shriya Saran will be seen in a special role.

Suriya himself is co-producing the film under his 2D Entertainments banner, while Santosh Narayanan is composing the music. The two singles released by the film team have already received a good response. The recently released song ‘Kanima’ is impressive with its upbeat beats set in the backdrop of a wedding. Shreyas Krishna is handling the cinematography and Shafiq Mohammed Ali is handling the editing for the film ‘Retro’.
