Special committee for film workers

The Telangana government has taken a key decision to resolve the problems of Tollywood film workers. The government has formed a special committee in the wake of the recent strike by the workers for wage hike, working hours and other facilities and the subsequent discussions.

The committee, formed under the chairmanship of Labour Commissioner Dana Kishore, includes prominent producers Dil Raju, KL Damodar Prasad, Yarlagadda Supriya, as well as Cine Workers Federation President Vallabhaneni Anil Kumar and Secretary Ammiraju Kanumilli.

The committee will mainly examine issues such as workers' wages, working hours, safety and health protection and submit a report to the government within two months. The first meeting will be held after the Dussehra festival.
