‘Sikandar’ is booming in advance bookings

Eid celebrations are going to be even more grand this year, as Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's film 'Sikander' is set to release in theatres on March 30. With just one more day to go, the excitement among fans is growing. Ticket prices have increased drastically.. In some areas of metro cities, they have crossed Rs.2000... while in some single screen theatres, recliner seats have been priced at up to Rs.700.

Advance booking for the movie 'Sikandar' began on Book My Show on March 25. By the evening, tickets were available in most theaters across the country. With multiplexes implementing blockbuster pricing, premium ticket prices have increased. The price of a VIP ticket at DLF Mall, Saket in Delhi is Rs. 800. The price of a recliner ticket for the morning show at Noida Mall of India is Rs. 1000, while it has increased to Rs. 1400 for the evening shows.

Recliner seats at the Plaza Cinema in Dadar, Mumbai, are priced at Rs 700 for evening shows. While some see this as a sign of huge demand, others are concerned in the industry that these rates could drive audiences back. However, many screenings in the Delhi-NCR region have already sold out, while others are filling up fast. However, there is some variation in this price. Some single-screen theatres, notably Delhi's Delight Theatre, have ticket prices between Rs 90 and Rs 200.

According to the latest information, ‘Sikandar’ is enjoying great popularity in advance ticket sales. So far, 98,296 tickets have been sold through pre-bookings that began on March 25, which is estimated to have earned Rs. 2.83 crores at the box office. Tickets were sold mainly in the 2D format, which collected Rs. 2.81 crores through this format, while the rest was earned through IMAX 2D. Maharashtra and Delhi have emerged as the main markets. It is reported that Rs. 1.55 crores have been collected through advance bookings in Maharashtra, and Rs. 1.29 crores have been collected in Delhi. And ‘Sikandar’, which is bringing huge excitement this Eid.. Let’s see in which range it shakes the Bollywood box office.
