Shane Nigam's 'Balti' movie was just about to come out!

Along with Mohanlal's 'Hrudayapoorvam' and Fahadh Faasil's 'Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira', Shane Nigam's 'Balti' is also set to release on August 29 on the occasion of Onam. The film is directed by debutant Unni Sivalingam. It is produced by Santosh T Kuruvilla and Binu Alexander George. Shane will be seen playing the role of a Kabaddi player named Udayan in Balti, a Kabaddi-based sports action drama.

The film is shot in Malayalam and Tamil. Preethi Asrani is playing the heroine. Director Alphonse Putren will be seen playing the role of a ruthless gangster named 'Soda Babu'. Tamil actor Shantanu Bhagyaraj is also playing a key role. Moreover, the film also features national and state level Kabaddi players. Music director Sai Abhyankar, who is currently in demand in Tamil films, is making his Malayalam debut with Balti. He is providing music and background score for the film.

Shivakumar V Panikkar, who worked on ‘Kill, Uri: The Surgical Strike’, is editing the film. Alex J Pulikkal, who worked as cinematographer on Shane’s ‘RDX’, is also handling the camera for this film. Along with Balti, Shane is also acting in films by some other new directors. The romantic drama ‘Hall’ directed by Veera is set to release next. Also, ‘El Classico’ directed by Rosh Rashid and a film with Jeethu Joseph’s former assistant Martin Joseph are also in the works.
