Saamuhika Varalakshmi Vratams in Pithapuram on August 22

Legislative Council Whip Sri Pidugu Hariprasad said that on August 22, the last Friday of Shravan month, a mass Varalakshmi vratam will be held at the Uma Kukkuteswara Swamy and Puruhutika Ammavari temples in Sri Padagaya Kshetra in Pithapuram. On this occasion, he said that as per the orders of the State Deputy Chief Minister and Pithapuram MLA Sri Pawan Kalyan, turmeric, saffron and saree gifts will be distributed to women. It was stated that sarees will be distributed to a total of 10 thousand women.

A special review meeting was held with temple officials, police officials and Jana Sena leaders on the conduct of the vratam. Kakinada Rural MLA Sri Pantham Nanaji, DCCB Chairman Sri Tummala Ramaswamy, Party Programme Management Committee Chairman Sri Kalyanam Siva Srinivas, and Pithapuram Constituency Jana Sena Coordinator Sri Marreddy Srinivas participated in this meeting.

Hariprasad said – “Pawan Kalyan is very fond of the women of Pithapuram. Pawan Kalyan has decided to organize these Varalakshmi Vratas as per tradition like every year and gift turmeric, saffron and sarees to the women.”

These Vratas will start from 5 am. They will be organized in 5 batches. Each batch has been named after one of the goddesses – Ambika, Bhramaramba, Chamundi, Durga and Ishwari.

Kakinada Rural MLA Shri Pantham Nanaji said – “As per the instructions of the Deputy Chief Minister, we have instructed the officials to provide all the necessary facilities to the devotees.”
