In these days when the film industry has completely shifted towards digital, famous cinematographer Ratnavelu is ready for a rare experiment. In Ram Charan's 'RC 16' movie, some important parts are being shot on negative film.

The film industry of old used to work on the basis of negative reels. However, this was an expensive process and digital cameras became more popular as technology advanced. Digital makes retakes easier. The cost is likely to decrease.

Many in Hollywood have taken the negative path again in recent times. That is why Ratnavelu is also shooting some parts of 'RC 16' on negative. This movie is going to come with the backdrop of 30, 40 years ago. Ratnavelu is doing this negative experiment to show the authentic situation of those days.

Not only is negative film expensive, but it is also difficult to find. Because companies cut production due to reduced demand. However, if Ratnavelu and team succeed in this experiment, there is no possibility of a revival of negative films in Tollywood.Ratnavelu has already acted as the cinematographer for a hit movie like 'Rangasthalam' with Ram Charan. 'RC 16', which is being made under the direction of Buchi Babu, has started a new schedule as the latest.
