Did 'Akhanda 2' go over budget?

The producers are determined to release Nandamuri Natasimham Balakrishna’s “Akhanda 2 Tandavam” during the Dussehra season. The shooting of the film, which was earlier scheduled for September 25, 2025, is progressing at a rapid pace. The shooting is currently underway at Ramoji Film City. Although the team is working day and night to meet the Dussehra deadline, there are speculations that the film has exceeded its budget.

Director Boyapati Srinu is making this film on a grander scale than his previous films. Given the box office successes of his previous collaborations with Balakrishna, he is confident that “Akhanda 2” will also create huge business. To meet the expectations of the audience, he is not hesitating to spend money for stunning visuals and high-octane action scenes. However, due to this grand vision, the film has exceeded the budget plan. This has raised concerns about cost recovery.

Pragya Jaiswal is playing the female lead in the film, while Balakrishna will be seen in a dual role. Produced by 14 Reels Plus, the film features Balakrishna's daughter Tejaswini and is being scored by Thaman. The makers have improved the plot and action scenes of the film in a way that surpasses the first part. It remains to be seen in what range the movie 'Akhanda 2' will be a success.
