Delhi High Court puts a stop to the release of 'Veera Dheere Sooran'!
The Tamil film ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’ starring Chiyaan Vikram in the lead role. The film faced huge hurdles on the first day of its release. The premiere shows in India as well as the US were also canceled. This is due to a legal dispute over the OTT rights. A media company named B4U has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against ‘Veera Dheera Sooran’ producer Rhea Shibu. The company has alleged that the producer did not implement the agreement to sell the OTT rights of the film in advance.
With this, the High Court imposed a temporary stay, and many shows planned for 9 am had to be canceled. Shows in theaters like PVR and Cinepolis were canceled. According to the information received, the court ordered Rhea Shibu to immediately deposit ₹7 crore and submit all key documents related to the case within 48 hours. The premiere shows planned in the US were also canceled due to these legal issues.
Even though Vikram did extensive promotions before the film's release, fans expressed their displeasure after the morning shows were canceled. However, it is reported that the screenings in theaters are likely to start in the afternoon or evening after resolving the legal issues. Directed by Arun Kumar, the film has music by GV Prakash Kumar. S.J. Surya, Suraj Venjaramood, Dushara Vijayan, Siddique and others play important roles.
