Closing theaters is not right.. Allu Aravind
In the context of the theaters being closed from June 1, the recent return gift comments made by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan have created a stir in the film industry. In this context, the campaign in the industry that all this is happening because of those four people has gained momentum. With this.. famous producer Allu Aravind came before the media and spoke about the closure of theaters and Pawan Kalyan's comments.
Producer Allu Aravind made key comments in a media conference on the news that theaters will be closed from June 1. The clarifications he gave in the context of the current problems, allegations, and political connections in the film industry have gained importance.
Speaking at this conference.. 'My profession is to make films. That is what I believe in. I have done this for the last 50 years. I do not have a single theater in Telangana. I am not among those four. It is not right to drag me into an affair that started about fifteen years ago. I have come out of that business.' ‘There are 1500 theaters in Telugu states, but I have only 15. I am leaving these too. That is why I am clearly saying that I have nothing to do with the theater business.’
He condemned unilateral decisions regarding the closure of theaters.
‘It is not right to decide that theaters will be closed. It is true that theaters have problems. But in such cases, all the industry leaders should discuss together and solve the problems with the help of the government. Alleging someone and dragging them into the political arena is not an excuse,’ he said.
Also, he reminded that in the past, when the government needed cooperation, industry leaders went to the then Chief Minister. ‘Nothing can happen without the government’s involvement. If you met the previous Chief Minister, it was to get help. In that case, the government’s support is needed now too,’ he explained.
Allu Aravind said that when he and some other film leaders met Pawan Kalyan, he suggested them to meet Chandrababu Naidu, but even though they wanted to meet, it did not happen.
