Chiranjeevi's meeting with workers concluded
Megastar Chiranjeevi himself came forward regarding the ongoing workers' strike in Tollywood. Today, he met with the federation leaders at his residence and inquired about the problems of the workers.
About 70 leaders of the federation and members of each craft attended this meeting. Chiranjeevi spoke directly to 72 representatives from a total of 24 crafts.
Federation President Anil Kumar said, 'We have been on strike for the last 15 days for a wage hike. Today, Megastar Chiranjeevi called us and spoke to us. The producers are blaming us instead of listening to us. We have set two conditions, and we explained to Chiranjeevi what we will lose if we accept them. We also heard about the double call sheet issue on Sunday. He encouraged us to come to him if we have any problems. We are organizing a general body meeting tomorrow. A meeting will also be held with the chamber. We hope that the wages will be as we have requested,' he said. He also clarified that 'Chiranjeevi garu and Balayya Babu garu are talking to us to resolve the issue but they are not taking sides.'
Federation Coordination Member Veerashankar said, 'Such strikes are not new in the film industry. In the past, shootings in Chennai were also stopped for 30-40 days. Even now, Chiranjeevi garu has listened attentively to every issue we raised. We believe that a solution will be found after the meeting with the chamber tomorrow. The producers should also understand the situation of the workers,' he said.
Looking at all these developments, the Film Chamber-Federation meeting to be held at 4 pm tomorrow will be very crucial. The entire industry is expecting that this meeting will provide clarity on issues such as workers' wage issues, the double call sheet issue, and the halt in shootings.
