Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor is making his mark as an actor who is in demand for fatherly and mentor roles in big films. His great performance as Ranbir Kapoor's father in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's "Animal" and his recent role as the RAW chief in "War 2" have further strengthened his pan-India appeal.

Now, director Venky Atluri has reportedly approached Anil Kapoor for a key role in his new bilingual film. Venky Atluri is a director known for films like "Rang De," "Sir," and "Lucky Bhaskar." The film stars Tamil star Suriya in the lead role, while Malayalam actress Mamita Baiju will be seen as the heroine.

Produced by Sithara Entertainments, the film is being made in Telugu and Tamil. If Anil Kapoor joins the project, it will be his re-entry into Telugu cinema after almost a decade. At the beginning of his career, he acted as the hero in the film “Vamsavriksham” directed by Bapu in 1980. After almost 45 years, he is now ready to make a grand re-entry into Telugu cinema with an important character role.
