Turkish singer copied Devi Sri song

The song “Oo Antava Mama” from the movie ‘Pushpa’ created a sensation across the country three years ago. Composed by Devi Sri Prasad, the item song instantly went viral and gained huge popularity across India. Recently, Turkish pop singer Atiyeh released a song called “Unlayana”. DSP has alleged that it is a direct copy of the song “Oo Antava”.
The tune and music arrangement of the Turkish song closely resemble DSP’s original composition. Expressing disappointment over the unauthorized use and lack of credit, DSP is considering taking legal action against the Turkish singer. Interestingly, while DSP is considering taking legal action, many fans are proud that a Telugu song has gained such global recognition and has been imitated internationally.
For decades, Indian musicians, including Telugu, have faced accusations of copying tunes from Western music. Now, global artists copying Telugu hits is indicative of the growing international influence of musicians like Devi Sri Prasad. It remains to be seen how the Turkish singer will react to Devi Sri's allegations.
