Tragedy in Nandamuri's family

Padmaja (73), the elder daughter-in-law of world-renowned actor and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao and wife of Nandamuri Jayakrishna, passed away in the early hours of today. She had been suffering from illness for some time and was admitted to the hospital after experiencing difficulty breathing and breathed her last while undergoing treatment.

Padmaja is also the sister of Daggubati Venkateswara Rao. This incident has caused great sorrow in the Nandamuri family. It is reported that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu left Vijayawada from Vijayawada and former Union Minister Daggubati Purandeswari left Delhi from Delhi to visit the family members in the afternoon.

Many political and film personalities expressed shock over Padmaja's death. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his condolences and said, “I am shocked to know that my brother-in-law Nandamuri Jayakrishna’s wife and Daggubati Venkateswara Rao’s sister Padmaja has passed away. This incident has filled our family with sorrow. I pray to God to grant peace to Padmaja’s soul.”

Nara Lokesh expressed his grief and said, “The news that my uncle Nandamuri Jayakrishna’s wife and Padmaja’s aunt has passed away has deeply saddened me. The sudden death of Padmaja’s aunt, who was always there for our family, is a huge loss for our family. I pray to God to grant peace to her soul.”
