Those three legends are my inspiration: Megastar Chiranjeevi

The inaugural ceremony of the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) recently began with a grand ceremony at the Jio World Center in Mumbai. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially inaugurated the summit. Megastar Chiranjeevi, superstar Rajinikanth, Hema Malini, Mohanlal, an Chakraborty participated in the celebrity panel discussion held on this occasion. The discussion was moderated by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar.

In the panel discussion, Chiranjeevi recalled the early stages of his film career. “When I entered the film industry, there were already giants like NTR garu, ANR garu, Krishna garu, and Shobhan Babu garu in the Telugu industry. I used to think about what special thing I could bring,” Chiranjeevi said.

“In 1977, while I was learning acting, I watched Mithun Chakraborty’s ‘Mrigaya’. His acting was so raw and natural. That boosted my confidence. It inspired me to be honest and close to my heart. In terms of action, I also wanted to do stunts well after watching ‘Sholay’ and Amitabh Bachchan ji’s daring stunts. In terms of dancing, Kamal Haasan garu was a great inspiration for me. I made it a habit to observe and study his steps. I tried to create my own style by observing these three legends closely,” said Chiranjeevi.

It was a great joy for the fans to see all these stars meeting on the same stage on this auspicious occasion. The aim of this Waves Summit is to bring more light to the future of the silver screen by sharing such discussions and experiences in the world of Indian cinema.
