The final version of 'Idli Kadai' is ready!

Dhanush's directorial 'Idli Kadai' is set to release on October 1. The makers have announced that the final version of the film is ready with the completion of the re-recording work. The film crew is currently busy on a promotional tour in Tamil Nadu. Pictures of Dhanush and his team in the studio are going viral on social media.

'Idli Kadai' is the fourth film directed by Dhanush after 'Paa Pandi', 'Rayan' and 'Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam'. Nithya Menen, who worked with him in 'Thiruchitrambalam', is the female lead. Also, famous actors like Arun Vijay, Raj Kiran, Sathyaraj, Geetha Kailasam, Samuthirakani, Parthiban and Shalini Pandey are part of the film.

Judging by the recently released trailer, in this film, it is understood that Murugan (Dhanush) is struggling to restart his father's idli shop in a small village. For that, he has to face Ashwin (Arun Vijay), who plays the villain. It is not yet clear why the idli shop is so important to Murugan and what the feud between him and Ashwin is.

The film is produced by Akash Bhaskaran under Dhanush's own production company Wunderbar Studios and Dawn Pictures banner. The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash. GV Prakash also worked with Dhanush in 'Nilavukku Nmel Ennadi Kobum'. Kiran Kaushik handled the cinematography and Prasanna GK handled the editing.
