That's why I'm not acting in Telugu films: Kamalini Mukherjee

Kamalini Mukherjee, who once won the hearts of Telugu audiences with her beauty and wit, has finally clarified the reason for her departure from films.

Kamalini Mukherjee made a wonderful entry with the film “Anand” directed by Sekhar Kammula. After that, she acted in hit films like ‘Style, Gamyam, Godavari, Gopi Gopika Godavari’. She also shared the screen with senior stars like “Nagavalli” with Venkatesh and “Shirdi Sai” with Nagarjuna.

But.. after the film “Govindudu Andari Vadele” with Ram Charan in 2014, she stopped signing Telugu films. After that, she appeared in some Malayalam and Tamil films.. but she quietly left the film industry.

Now 41 years old, Kamalini revealed the reason behind her decision... “After seeing my role in a film, I felt that I shouldn't do such roles. If there was a chance that the directors would cut out my scenes in the editing, thinking that my role was not necessary for the story, then I decided to stay away from Telugu films,” says Kamalini Mukherjee.
