The BCCI has officially announced the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2025. While Suryakumar Yadav will continue as the T20 captain, the vice-captain has been given to young player Shubman Gill. Cricket sources say that now there is a big responsibility on these two. These matches, which will be held in the T20 format, will be held in the UAE from September 9 to 28.

Jasprit Bumrah's return to the team is considered a big strength. Along with him, players like Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Hardik Pandya have also been included. This team has given a chance to new talent along with experienced players.

However, the absence of some names in the list has disappointed the fans. Especially, the absence of players like Shreyas Iyer and Yashasvi Jaiswal in the team is receiving severe criticism on social media. Although they were on the standby list, their absence in the main team came as a surprise to everyone.

The 15-member main squad includes Suryakumar Yadav, Shubman Gill, Sanju Samson, Jitesh Sharma, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dubey, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, and Rinku Singh.

The standby list includes the names of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Prasidh Krishna, Washington Sundar, and Riyan Parag. This means that they will get a chance when needed.

Overall, this time the team has given a big boost to the youth players. Although there are few experienced seniors, the selectors have faith in the talent of the young players. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how this team will perform.
