Mumbai-based businessman Deepak Kothari has accused the couple of cheating him of Rs. 60 crore in an investment deal. Moreover, Shilpa herself gave a guarantee in April 2016, but resigned from the post of director a few months later and did not announce it publicly. Deepak later came to know about the bankruptcy of Best Deal TV.

The complaint has now been handed over to the Economic Offences Wing. A thorough investigation is underway. As for Shilpa and Raj.. this news is making waves on social media.
