'Sankranthiki Vasthunnaam' on the Bollywood path

The biggest blockbuster that shook the Telugu cinema box office in 2025 is 'Sankranthiki Vasthunnaam'. 'Sankranthiki Vasthunnaam', directed by Anil Ravipudi and starring Victory Venkatesh, is once again in the news. This entertainer that made the family audience laugh out loud, is now being remade in Bollywood.

According to the latest industry buzz, producer Dil Raju will produce this film in Hindi. There is talk that Akshay Kumar will play the hero. It is said that Anees Bazmee, the director of hit films like 'Bhool Bhulaiya 2, Welcome, Ready', will take over the direction of this remake.

The film, which has collected over Rs. 300 crores in Telugu, impressed with its nativity-based comedy. But whether the same formula will work out in Hindi is a big question. Akshay Kumar hasn't had many remakes in the last few years. However, film sources say that if he redesigns this story in his style, given his timing and sense of comedy, he has a chance of achieving good results.
