Sankranthi Clash from years ago in trending!

The festival of Sankranti is a common clash between big films at the Tollywood box office. Three major films competed in the 2025 Sankranthi season. Ram Charan's 'Game Changer' (January 10), Nandamuri Balakrishna's 'Daaku Maharaaj' (January 12) and Venkatesh's 'Sankranthiki Vasthunnaam ' (January 14) are queuing at the box office respectively.Among these, Venkatesh's film became a blockbuster.. Balakrishna's 'Daaku Maharaaj' became a hit. Ram Charan's 'Game Changer' remains a disaster.
But a similar clash took place years ago i.e. 2000 Sankranti. During the Sankranti season that year, Ram Charan was replaced by his father Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi's 'Annayya' (January 7), Balakrishna's 'Vamshoddharakudu' and Venkatesh's 'Kalisundaam Raa' (both January 14) were released.Despite playing 'Annayya, Vamsoddarakudu', 'Kalisundaam Raa' became a super hit. Centenary was celebrated in many centers. Now in the same vein as the movie 'Sankranthiki Vasthunnaam', the movie 'Kalisundam Raa' which impressed the family audience immensely during Sankranti Bari years ago.
But even in 2001 Sankranti, Chiranjeevi's 'Mrigaraju', Balakrishna's 'Narasimhanaidu' and Venkatesh's 'Deviputrudu' were released. This time the victory was Balayya's. Overall.. Sankranti is always special for Tollywood. That's why top heroes compete to release their films in Sankranti. This Sankranti is Venkatesh’s Sankranthi.
