Reentry didn't work out at all!

It is common in the film industry for senior actresses to take a break for a few years after marriage and then re-enter the film industry. This year, three actresses made a comeback after almost two decades, but their films disappointed at the box office.

Beautiful actress Anshu, who is popular with films like ‘Manmadhudu’ and ‘Raghavendra’, made a comeback to Telugu films after almost 20 years with the film ‘Majaka’. Although the film starring Sundeep Kishan was released this year, it was a flop at the box office.

Heroine Laya, who was recognized as a star heroine in Telugu films in the 2000s, was recently seen on the silver screen with the film ‘Thammudu’ starring Nithiin. Although she played a key role in this film, it failed to live up to expectations and failed miserably in the theaters.

Genelia, the heroine who excelled in the Telugu film industry in the 2000s with consecutive successes opposite star heroes, took a break from films after marrying Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh. After a gap of 13 years, she re-entered Tollywood as an actress with the film ‘Junior’. This recently released film faced negative response from the audience with its outdated story and uninteresting screenplay. With this, Genelia’s much-awaited comeback also ended in disappointment. All in all, the senior actresses who made their re-entry in 2025 did not get along at all.
