Record-breaking shows for 'War 2'!

Preparations are underway to hold over 500 shows in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from 5 am onwards for the film 'War 2'. However, official permissions are yet to be received from the state governments for these shows. Sithara Entertainments, which has acquired the theatrical rights of the Telugu states for around ₹80 crore, is coordinating with distributors and theatre chains for these shows. This decision was taken as NTR has a strong fan following in the region.

In the past, NTR films have achieved huge opening day collections in the Telugu states. While his film 'Devara', released last year, achieved the second biggest opening day with 500-550 shows at 1 am, RRR still holds the record for the highest opening day collections in the region. If the permissions are granted, War 2 could set a new benchmark for morning shows and opening day performance as a non-Telugu film.

The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji. It stars Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR in the lead roles. It is a part of Yash Raj Films' Spy Universe, which has previously released films like Pathan and Tiger 3. The final decision regarding the morning shows will depend on government clearances. Till then, exhibitors and distributors are making logistical preparations keeping in mind the demand. War 2 is scheduled to release pan-India on August 14.
