The countdown has begun for the release of the mega multi-starrer ‘Coolie’, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and starring superstar Rajinikanth. Expectations have been skyrocketing for this crazy combination of stars like Nagarjuna Akkineni, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Shruti Haasan and Sathyaraj. The trailer, which has already been released, and Anirudh’s music have taken the hype to the peak. The film will be released grandly in more than 100 countries around the world on August 14.

The Madras High Court has issued key orders to curb piracy before the release of the film. Justice Senthil Kumar Ramamurthy, who heard the petition of Sun TV Network, ordered 36 internet service providers across the country to immediately block websites containing ‘Coolie’ pirated content. It was clarified that new piracy websites that emerge in the future will also be subject to this ban.

An incident that shows the extent of the Rajini craze took place in Singapore. A company there announced a paid holiday for its Tamil employees on the day of the film's release. Moreover, it also said that it would provide 30 Singapore dollars for first show tickets and food expenses. The notice, which the company said was part of employee welfare and stress management, has now gone viral on social media.

Rajini's craze in Telugu is not to be mentioned in particular. This time, Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction, Nagarjuna's villain role, Upendra's special role, and Aamir's guest role have further increased interest in 'Coolie'. The Central Board of Film Certification issued an 'A' certificate to the film, which raised doubts among some fans. It remains to be seen what impact this certificate will have in a situation where a large family audience comes to Rajinikanth's films.
