Rajamouli is the reason for the sequels craze: Prithviraj Sukumaran

Malayalam top star and director Prithviraj Sukumaran says that the reason behind the popularity of sequels in Indian cinema is one man's vision. He is SS. Rajamouli. Sequels came on the Indian screen before the movie "Baahubali".But "Baahubali 2" instilled confidence in the audience with its overwhelming success. The same has led to a tale of two halves in other industries as well.

Continuing this trend, Prithviraj Sukumaran's Mohanlal's 'Lucifer' was a huge success. After that, Megastar Chiranjeevi remade the same story in Telugu with the name "Godfather". Now, Prithviraj has produced the sequel of Lucifer, titled L2: Empuran.The film will have a grand release on March 27, 2025 in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada languages.

Speaking on the occasion, Prithviraj said that the success of the movie "Baahubali" as well as "Pushpa" and "Pushpa 2" have proved that the audience is ready to accept multi-part stories. In this context, he revealed another interesting fact.He said that he is continuing as a friend of Prabhas in the upcoming movie Salaar 2 starring Prabhas and the shooting of this movie will start next year.
