Preparations for 'Udta Punjab 2'!

Bollywood super hit crime drama 'Udta Punjab'. Producer Ekta Kapoor is planning a sequel to this film. The film highlighted the drug problem in Punjab. The project is just in its early stages. But it is reported that Akash Kaushik has been brought in as the director and writer.However, an official announcement is yet to come. Speculations are rife that Shahid Kapoor is likely to play the lead role again. Even though the talks are in the initial stages, it seems that Ekta Kapoor is keen to bring him back. However, the final decision will be taken after the completion of the script.

Akash Kaushik, who wrote 'Bhool Bhulayya 2' and 'Housefull 4', will direct the sequel. However, Abhishek Chaubey, who directed 'Udta Punjab', is not in the project. This is because he is busy with other projects.It seems that this sequel will not continue the story of the first part, but will again take a more in-depth and probing look at the drug problem in Punjab.

The shooting of this film will start next year. Ekta Kapoor has earlier produced sequel films like 'Ragini MMS 2', 'LSD 2' and 'Ek Villain Returns'. It is expected that 'Udta Punjab 2' will also stand in this category.Apart from this film, Ekta Kapoor is currently focusing on 'Dream Girl 3' and 'Veere Di Wedding' sequel. And will 'Udta Punjab 2' be a hard-hitting film like the first part? Or make any new changes? That should be seen.
