Pawan's key direction

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has made key suggestions for the development of the film industry and better service to the audience. He suggested that government departments should monitor the prices of food and beverages in addition to controlling ticket prices in theaters.
According to Pawan Kalyan, if there is a request to increase ticket prices during the release of new films, it should be approached through the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and not personally. Pawan said that this would apply to his films as well. He made it clear that the same procedure should be followed in the case of ticket prices for the movie ‘Harihara Veeramallu’.
Pawan also responded to the criticism that the prices of food and soft drinks in theaters are skyrocketing. He wanted to monitor their prices and quality and take steps to control prices. He suggested that an investigation be conducted in the wake of the government’s finding that some companies are acting as monopolists in multiplexes and single screens.
In the backdrop of allegations that there are conspiracies and political objectives behind the announcements of cinema hall closures, Pawan said that even if Jana Sena leaders play a role in it, an investigation should not be hesitated. He said that suggestions should be made to the respective film associations to prevent threats and abuses.
Moreover, Pawan Kalyan clarified that the suggestions of Telugu film industry representatives should be included in the comprehensive film development policy to be brought by the Andhra Pradesh government.
