Pawan's comments hurt.. R. Narayana Murthy

Senior actor and producer R. Narayana Murthy recently held a press conference and made key comments on the percentage policy of theaters, ticket prices, and theater bandh. In this context, he expressed dissatisfaction over the recent comments made by Pawan Kalyan and Minister Durgesh. ‘A bandh should be announced in advance. It is not right to link the June 1 bandh to the movie ‘Harihara Veeramallu’,’ he clarified.
‘If the percentage policy is implemented, small producers like us will get relief. This is not related to the movie ‘Harihara Veeramallu’. The theater bandh is a Brahmastra. It is not right to blame it. I am proud that Pawan Kalyan has taken charge as the Deputy CM, but his comments in this regard hurt me,’ said Narayana Murthy.
On the other hand, the People’s Star expressed concern over the survival of single-screen theaters. ‘These theaters are like temples. Due to corporate systems, they are turning into wedding halls. The percentage system should be implemented and producers should be assured, he said.
At the same time, he strongly criticized the increase in ticket prices. “Entertainment should be accessible to the common man. Even though great films like ‘Sholay, Mughal-e-Azam, Lava Kusa’ came with a big budget, the prices were not increased. If the film is good, the audience will come,” he said. Praising the Gaddar Awards announced by the Telangana government, he asked for similar awards to be introduced in AP as well.
