Pawan Kalyan's financial assistance to Vasuki (Pakeeja)

Actress Vasuki alias Pakeezah, who gained recognition in the Telugu film industry in the 1990s with her comedy roles, gained recognition with the role of Pakeezah in the film ‘Assembly Rowdy’. Later, she acted in many successful films.
Vasuki, who hails from Sivagangai district of Tamil Nadu, entered politics at the call of former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa and worked as the official spokesperson of AIADMK. Her life was facing severe upheavals due to the suicide of her husband Rajkumar, harassment by her in-laws, and the expenses incurred for her mother’s cancer treatment. The situation became even worse after Jayalalithaa’s death.
She is currently in serious financial difficulties. Recently, Pakeezah’s situation came to the attention of the media in Guntur when she came from Chennai to visit Kanakadurgamma in Vijayawada. She revealed her financial situation and sought help from the Telugu states.
Knowing about her situation, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Shri Pawan Kalyan immediately responded and announced a financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh. MLC Hariprasad and P.Gannavaram MLA Giddi Satyanarayana handed over this assistance to Pakeeja at the Jana Sena party office in Mangalagiri.
Pakeeja got emotional while expressing her gratitude for this assistance. She said, ‘I will be indebted to Pawan Kalyan’s family for the rest of my life.’ She burst into tears.
