Narasimha competing with Harihara

The animated film ‘Mahavatara Narasimha’, which hit the theatres on July 25, is captivating the audience. Hombale Films, which has produced huge pan India films like ‘Salaar’ and ‘KGF’, has produced this film. The film is based on the legend of the Narasimha avatar taken by Lord Vishnu.
The story of this movie is based on the life of Prahlad, who is known to everyone. Hiranyakashyap receives a boon from Lord Brahma, confuses the three worlds with that boon, Prahlad becomes a devotee of Vishnu, Hiranyakashyap’s attempts to resist that devotion, and finally Vishnu incarnates as Narasimha avatar and kills him are the lifeblood of the film.
This film, made in animation technology, is a great visual experience. Although the characters are puppets, the emotions shown in it, the action scenes, and the background score all entertain the audience. This animated film made with Indian technology is touching everyone emotionally.
Although the film was released in theaters without much publicity, 5-6 thousand tickets are being sold per hour on BookMyShow from July 25. At the same time, with Pawan Kalyan's 'Harihara Veeramallu' getting mixed reviews, the audience is leaning towards this animated film. It seems likely to become the first choice for the family audience.
Trade sources say that the film has received good reviews on the first day. Critics are also giving good reviews about the film. Especially since the ticket price is low (₹150k in multiplexes), it is an opportunity to watch it with the family at a low cost.
If we look at the film 'Harihara Veeramallu' as a fictional story set in a historical setting, 'Mahavatara Narasimha' is an eternal epic made on devotion, faith and dharma. This is a good attempt to make children and youth aware of the incarnations of Bhagavat. That is why this film is receiving unexpected success.
The music for this film was composed by Sam C.S, who gave background music for ‘Pushpa 2’, and it was screened at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) held in Goa in 2024. The film is available in 2D as well as 3D versions.
Theaters are increasing shows due to the unexpected response to this film. This is a good opportunity for those who love mythological films. Even though it comes in an animation format, the film is captivating the audience due to its storytelling style, emotions, and visuals.
It has been proven once again that the people of the two Telugu states will support any film that entertains without showing regional sentiments, regardless of language. Even a historical pan-India film like Harihara Veeramallu has good collections, and the fact that even a Kannada film is so well-received shows how passionate the Telugu people are about cinema. But the recent incident is different. The removal of the banner of a prestigious movie like "Harihara Veeramallu" by Kannadigas in Karnataka due to regional differences is a very sad incident. The fact that our Telugu people support the same Kannadigas film is a testament to their superiority.
