The classic film 'Sholay', which has remained forever in the history of Bollywood cinema, will complete 50 years in August this year. Released in 1975, this film is a great film that introduced Amitabh Bachchan to the audience as the 'Angry Young Man'.To mark this special occasion, the film will get a rare honor at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) celebrations.

Karan Johar and Karthik Aryan will act as presenters at the IIFA Awards program to be held in Jaipur on March 8 and 9 this year. Bollywood celebrities Shahrukh Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit will entertain with special performances.In these celebrations, as a mark of respect to 'Sholay', a film screening will also be arranged at the famous Raj Mandir Theater in Jaipur city.

Speaking on the occasion, IIFA Co-Founder Andre Timmins said, “2025 IIFA Awards is not just a film celebration but a tribute to the 50-year journey of Sholay. This movie ‘Sholay' is not just a film, it is an emotion."There is no better venue to honor this than the Raj Mandir Theatre, which has been a favorite of movie lovers for five decades," he said. These celebrations will be another milestone in the history of Bollywood.
