Mohanlal's cameo in Hindi 'Oppam'

Veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan has confirmed that Mohanlal will be seen in a cameo role in his upcoming Hindi film ‘Haiwaan’. The film stars Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. The director revealed that the role is a surprise for the audience. ‘Haiwaan’ is being produced by Kaviyan Productions and Thespian Films.

The film is inspired by Priyadarshan’s 2016 Malayalam thriller ‘Oppam’. However, the director said that significant changes have been made in the dialogues and screenplay. In Oppam, Mohanlal plays a blind man and plays an unusual role of saving a judge’s daughter. ‘Haiwaan’ is Priyadarshan’s 99th film. In this, he reunites with Akshay Kumar. Both of them have given many hits in Bollywood in the past.

The film also stars Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher. The shooting continued in Kochi for a few more days and then shifted to Vagamon, Ooty and Mumbai. The director reminded that the key scene in the contract was also shot 9 years ago in Panampilli Nagar, Kochi. While Saif Ali Khan is playing the main lead in the film ‘Haiwan’, it is reported that Akshay Kumar is playing the villain.
