Missing Anirudh's magic?

Anirudh Ravichander.. is one of the star music composers of the country. Is he losing his momentum? Are his tunes getting repetitive? Are people getting tired of his style of music? It seems that way if you look at his recent albums. In 2024 and 2025, Anirudh composed music for many films like 'Indian 2', 'Devara', 'Vettaiyan', 'Vidamuyarchi', 'Kingdom', 'Coolie', 'Madrasi'.

Except for 'Devara' and 'Coolie', the music of the remaining films did not do any magic. Anirudh is known to make any film live with his electrifying songs and background score. His chartbuster songs and powerful BGM tracks have been highlighted even in flop films. But now it is not like that. Recently, fans feel that Anirudh's music is becoming monotonous and repetitive. Most of his songs seem to be repeating tracks from old movies.

The same is true with the background score. People are getting fed up with these repeated tunes and are asking Anirudh to avoid the same pattern in every movie. Anirudh's latest release 'Madarasi' also left fans disappointed. Although the movie was okay, Anirudh failed to deliver a single chartbuster song or powerful BGM. Hence, it seems that it is time for Anirudh to review his work and reinvent music.
