The death of renowned writer Shivshakti Datta has cast a shadow of sadness over Tollywood. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan paid tributes on social media, wishing that the soul of Shivashakti Datta may rest in peace.

'I am saddened to know that the father of renowned music director Sri Keeravani garu, writer and painter Sri Shivashakti Datta garu has passed away. I pray to God that the soul of Sri Datta garu may rest in peace. He was a great admirer of arts and literature. Sri Datta garu, who is steeped in Telugu and Sanskrit literature, has written lyrics for many films. I express my deepest condolences to Sri Keeravani garu and his brothers, who are grieving the loss of their father.' Pawan Kalyan said.
