With the success of Bollywood's 'Kill' and Malayalam's 'Marco', the market for films based on violence has opened up again. Inspired by these successes, some other directors are now showing interest in experimenting with such stories. The narratives in these types of films are changing fundamentally, pushing new boundaries of violence on screen.

The second one is the Tamil star hero Suriya's film 'Retro'. It is an action thriller directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Sithara Entertainments is releasing this film in Telugu. Looking at the posters and teaser, it is clear that this is also a blood-soaked story. There are expectations that it will be a special treat for action fans. Since these two films are releasing on the same day, it remains to be seen how the audience will respond to the violent stories.
