Malayalam actor Ravikumar passes away

Renowned Malayalam actor Ravikumar (75) is no more. He was suffering from cancer for a few months and breathed his last while undergoing treatment in a hospital. Ravikumar, who hails from Thrissur, Kerala, made his debut in 1968 with the Malayalam film ‘Laksha Prabhu’. Ravikumar, who initially started his film career with supporting roles, turned hero in 1975 with the film ‘Ullasa Yatra’. He made his debut in Tamil with ‘Avargal’ and gained great recognition with the film ‘Pagalil Oru Iravu’.
After that, he played key roles in many successful films like ‘Youth’, ‘Ramana’, ‘Lesa Lesa’, and ‘Sivaji’. Along with films, he has also carved a special place for himself in the television industry. Radhika Sarathkumar acted in hit serials like ‘Chitthi’ (‘Pinni’ in Telugu) and ‘Selvi’ produced by Radha Sarathkumar’s production company Radan Media Works. He also acted in the serial ‘Anubandham’ broadcast in Telugu and won the hearts of the audience.
Ravikumar, who served in the film industry for more than 50 years, acted in more than a hundred films in Malayalam and Tamil languages. He also gave excellent performances in many TV serials. He has a son. Family members said that his last rites will be held on Saturday. Film personalities and fans expressed deep shock over Ravikumar's death and expressed their deepest condolences to his family.
