The situation of the workers' strike that has been going on in the Telugu film industry for the past few days is taking steps towards resolving it. While the trade unions have gone on strike demanding a wage hike, film productions and shootings have almost come to a standstill as a full-fledged agreement could not be reached despite repeated talks between the Producers Council and the Film Chamber.

In this context, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkata Reddy himself has stepped into the fray. The minister called Federation President Anil Kumar Vallabhaneni and suggested the possibility of holding a meeting with trade union leaders at the secretariat at 3 pm today.

While the workers are demanding a minimum 30 percent increase in their daily wages, the producers have proposed a 15 percent increase in the first year, 5 percent in the second year, and 5 percent in the third year. The strike is continuing as the Federation is not satisfied with this proposal.
