'Kingdom' to be released on OTT

Rowdy hero Vijay Deverakonda's period drama "Kingdom". Released in theaters on July 31.. is coming to OTT sooner than expected. Usually, movies come online after at least a month in theaters. But "Kingdom" will be streaming on Netflix from August 27. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam as "Kingdom" and in Hindi as "Saamrajya".

Directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, the film, which was mostly shot in Sri Lanka, impressed with huge collections at the box office on the first day, but lost momentum later. Critics and audiences felt that the lack of strong music and the weak romantic track between Vijay Deverakonda and Bhagyashree Borse failed to attract the young audience.

Produced by Naga Vamsi, the film has signed a lucrative deal with Netflix for the digital rights. It seems that Netflix paid a huge amount. It remains to be seen whether the movie 'Kingdom', which disappointed in theaters, will impress the audience on OTT.
