'Kannappa' satellite and OTT deal?

‘Kannappa‘ is the highest-budget film in Manchu Vishnu’s career. This film, based on the story of Shiva devotee Kannappa, was released at the Pan India level. The movie, which released on June 27, received positive talk from the first show. However, it must be said that that talk failed to translate into collections.

Despite getting good talk in Telugu, ‘Kannappa‘ did not receive much response in foreign languages. So far, the team has announced that 5 lakh tickets have been sold for ‘Kannappa’ on the ticket booking platform Book My Show. The film team has also already said that more tickets are being sold for ‘Kannappa’ offline than online.

The latest is that good offers are coming for the non-theatrical business. It seems that the satellite rights of this film have been sold for around Rs. 20 crores. Furthermore, many crazy offers are also coming for OTT rights. Overall, there are speculations that even though Vishnu's prestigious production 'Kannappa' may not be a huge success, it will remain a safe project for Manchu varabbayi.
