Joju George's 'Varavu' movie launch just happened!

'Varavu' is a big Malayalam action entertainer starring Joju George. The film is being produced by dynamic director Shaji Kailas. The shooting of the film will begin on September 8 with a traditional puja ceremony at Talayar in Munnar. This film marks the re-entry of former Tamil heroine Sukanya in Mollywood. She last acted in 'Aamayum Mualum' directed by Priyadarshan in 2014.

This is the first film in the Joju and Shaji combo. The film is coming with the tagline "Revenge is not a dirty business". The script has been written by Shaji's long-time collaborator AK Sajan. He has previously written scripts for Shaji's films like 'Chintamani Kolakes', 'Red Chillies' and 'Dhrona 2010'. 'Varavu' is being produced by Nice Reji. Under the banner of Olga Productions, Jomy Joseph is acting as the co-producer. The shooting will take place in Munnar, Marayur, Kanthalloor and Theni.

As for Joju's films, he is acting opposite Biju Menon in Jeethu Joseph's 'Valadu Vasatte Kallan' and Urvashi in the film Asha. He is also preparing to direct 'Deluxe', a sequel to his directorial debut 'Pani'. Director Shaji Kailash last made a horror film 'Hunt' in 2024 with Bhavana in the lead role.
