Janhvi Kapoor back on the set of 'Peddi'!

Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor... made a splash at the Cannes Film Festival for her international project “Homebound” and returned to Mumbai last week. There, she was busy promoting her upcoming Hindi film “Param Sundari”. Now, she is back in Hyderabad and is busy shooting for her new project “Peddi”.

“Peddhi” is a pan-Indian sports drama. It has been creating huge hype among the moviegoers since then. It is known that the movie is being made by director Buchi Babu Sana, who won the hearts of South Indian moviegoers with the movie “Uppena”. The story of the movie is set in a rural setting, in which perseverance, ambition, and emotional stability are key elements.

Janhvi Kapoor will be seen in the role of a traditional village girl in the movie. This is her first time sharing the screen with Ram Charan through this film, and this is her second Telugu film. She previously entered the Telugu film industry with the film “Devara”. Ram Charan is said to be playing a rugged and deeply emotional character in the film. The story of “Peddi” mainly revolves around cricket and other sports, which is said to be an emotional rollercoaster ride.

The film is being jointly produced by Vriddhi Cinemas, Sukumar Writings and Mythri Movie Makers on a grand scale. Indian cinema legend and Oscar winner A.R. Rahman is providing music for the film, which is another big highlight of the film. “Peddi”, which combines Rahman’s music, Ram Charan-Janvi Kapoor pair and Buchi Babu’s direction, is already creating a huge buzz in the film circles.
