This American actor, who is famous for his roles in films like 'Die Hard, Pulp Fiction, The Sixth Sense, Red', has been facing serious health problems for the past few years. He has a disease called frontotemporal dementia. It affects behavior, language, and personality. The report says that 70-year-old Bruce has now almost completely lost his ability to speak and is also having difficulty moving his body.
Bruce Willis retired from acting in March 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia, a neurological disease that affects communication skills. This was announced by his family himself. He was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023. The family, including the actor's wife Emma Heming, ex-wife Demi Moore, and their children, are standing together to care for him and raise awareness about the disease.
According to Healthline, frontotemporal dementia can cause a variety of symptoms, including difficulty speaking or understanding speech, personality changes, and loss of judgment. There is currently no cure for it. Treatment focuses on controlling symptoms and improving the patient's quality of life. Aphasia occurs when various parts of the brain that help with communication are damaged. The condition primarily affects the left side of the brain. It impairs the ability to express and understand language, according to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
