Historical films have no place

Among the films that did not make it to the Gaddar Awards, the names of historical films Chiranjeevi's 'Sye Raa..' and Balakrishna's 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' are prominent. Megastar Chiranjeevi's re-entry 'Khaidi No. 150' was a huge success. This is the 150th film in Chiranjeevi's career.

Balakrishna's 100th film 'Gautamiputra Satakarni', which came along with this film, was also a huge success. Sharwanand's 'Shatamanam Bhavati', which came along with these two films for Sankranti that year, won the Gaddar Award for the best film.

However, some people are of the opinion that it would have been better if Balakrishna's 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' had received the award. Similarly, Chiranjeevi's very prestigious historical film 'Sye Raa.. Narasimha Reddy' did not get a place in the awards. However, another analysis is whether Chiru's 'Sye Raa..' and Balakrishna's 'Gautamiputra Shatakarni' are historical stories related to the Andhra region, so these films did not receive awards.
