Film Chamber letter to producers

The issue of wage hike in the Telugu film industry has taken a serious turn. The Film Employees Federation has made it clear that they will participate in shootings only if wages are increased by 30% from Monday (August 4), but the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce has expressed strong objection to this.

Describing the federation's demand as a 'biased decision', the chamber's honorary secretary K.L. Damodar Prasad released a letter to the producers. In it, he said that workers are already being paid more than the minimum wages as per the current laws. He warned that this bandh will cause damage to the films under production.

Producers have been advised not to enter into any special agreements with the federation and to follow the guidelines issued by the chamber. An emergency producers' meeting will be held at the Film Chamber at 11 am on Monday to find a proper solution to this issue.
