Do you know what Shobhana's dream role is?

Even experienced actors have certain roles that they consider their dream roles. Shobhana, a talented Bharatanatyam dancer and actress who has worked in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films, recently revealed her desire to play a transgender role on screen. Although she has reduced her involvement in films to focus on her dance school in Chennai, she continues to choose roles that interest her.
Shobhana was last seen in the Malayalam hit film ‘Thudarum’ opposite Mohanlal. The film was praised by critics and fans. However, in an interview, she shared her desire to play a hijra role. When she approached some directors for the role, they said that the audience might not accept her in such a role.
She also mentioned Malayalam superstar Mammootty. He recently played a gay character in the movie ‘Kaadal Di Kor’. Shobhana says that playing a hijra character is very challenging and requires special attention to voice, appearance and gestures. For her, it is not just about acting, but also about fully embracing a different identity and portraying it convincingly.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see which director will give Shobhana this opportunity. If someone dares to do this.. it could challenge the conventions of Malayalam cinema and show a new dimension in Shobhana’s acting skills.
