Crazy demand for 'Kantara'

Recently, on the occasion of the 15th of August, two dubbed movies ‘Coolie, War 2‘ greeted the Telugu audience. However.. even though they are dubbed films, Telugu actors played key roles in both these movies. That is why.. these movies created a huge craze in Tollywood. Accordingly, a huge pre-release business was done.

After these movies, another interesting dubbed movie that is coming to Telugu is ‘Kantara.. Chapter 1‘. The movie ‘Kantara‘, directed by Rishabh Shetty himself, was a huge success in Telugu as well. This movie, which was made with a budget of just Rs. 14 crores, has collected Rs. 400 crores worldwide. Since it is a prequel to that movie, there are huge expectations on ‘Kantara.. Chapter 1‘.

With those expectations, the prequel rates of ‘Kantara’ are now being quoted in a range in Telugu circles. The news that the Telugu rights of this film are being demanded at Rs. 100 crores has now become a hot topic in film circles. It is being said that Rs. 40 crores are being quoted for the Nizam rights, Rs. 45 crores for the Andhra rights and Rs. 15 crores for the seeded rights.

Along with the unexpected success of the first part, the confidence in Rishab Shetty's direction is attracting distributors. If this huge deal is indeed done, there is talk that 'Kantara.. Chapter 1' will definitely break the records of dubbed films in the Telugu states so far.
